The gaming giant, Caesars Entertainment, is collaborating with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians to introduce a mobile sports wagering application in North Carolina.

This alliance expands upon their current association and coincides with the Tar Heel state’s preparations to authorize sports gambling.

The platform is anticipated to commence operations on March 11th, aligning with the official enactment of sports wagering legislation in the state. This allows North Carolinians to engage in betting just in time for the thrill of March Madness, a premier sporting event for wagering enthusiasts!

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians already possesses a permit to manage mobile sports betting within the state. Through this collaboration, citizens will gain access to the Caesars Sportsbook platform, subject to regulatory consent.

North Carolina has been readying for the debut of sports betting since its endorsement last November. Nevertheless, there was a degree of letdown when it was announced that legalization wouldn’t transpire until after the Super Bowl weekend.

While sports gambling won’t formally begin until March 11th, North Carolina inhabitants can get a jumpstart by pre-enrolling and adding funds via the Caesars Sportsbook application starting March 1st.

This is not the inaugural instance of these two entities uniting their efforts. Their prior joint ventures encompass the integration of Caesars Sportsbooks at both the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel.

Caesars Entertainment has prolonged its collaboration with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. This agreement grants Caesars sole privileges to manage mobile sports wagering on tribal territories in Western North Carolina, encompassing the two existing gaming establishments.

This agreement holds significant importance for both parties, as their joint efforts span over two decades. Eric Hession, the director of Caesars Digital, emphasized expanding upon their established retail sportsbooks to deliver a premium user experience.

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians also expresses enthusiasm for the prospects of this partnership. Principal Chief Richard Sneed views it as an avenue to generate additional prospects that will positively impact their tribe.
